contradicting notice

Today, I just saw a notice in my pantry that says "Protect the earth, use less paper cup" then to my surprise, we do not have paper cups. We have styrofoam cups... Erm... Is the styrofoam cups more hurting to the earth or the paper cups? To what I know styrofoam cups are non biodegradable but paper cup could be biodegradable.. Perhaps the company thinks that paper cups are hurting the earth so they use styrofoam cups that "would not" hurt the earth?? Hmm.. who knows..

Chair

Hello, I just bought 2 office chairs for my brother and I.. treated it as a birthday present for him.. hahaha.. actually wanted to get a ps3, but then no $$.. fixed the chairs and now I am happily sitting on it with confidence.. HA HA HA $128x2 for ikea chair.. Yesterday went to buy a printer for one of our company event, we were at South Asia computers in Funan (the one you can go into on the outside via the escalator straight) we almost bought one printer from them but when we saw a smaller one we asked them to let us see the other printer (the colleagues going over there wanted a portable one). Attitude of the staff.. -100 seems practically dun bother to sell their products and then ask their staff there they just point you to the direction and then they also dunno the products they are selling (product knowledge - NIL). simply walked out and went to the shop next door to buy from them.. They were professional and recommend several products for you to choose and tells you how to use them, etc..

Moral of the story, when you want to sell things.. KNOW your stuff.

To be sad or not to be?

My temp job in credit suisse just got extended till next year.. one thing i am not happy about is that, my hourly pay did not increase.. damn low morale.. $7 for a graduate then other people out there earning like 2.5 - 3k a month. damn sianz.. But then what I am happy is that credit suisse is a nice company to work for.. everyday got different problems to tackle.. This is because they have so many events going on.. I am wondering why can't they just get an event company and then sort out all the events' stuff through the event company? Today got "scolded" by one of the RMs as their cheque to one of their clients did not get through and they were scolding us for not taking ownership.. hello... if you want to please your client, please take ownership to your cheque and not pass it to the marketing to handle it.. why scold us when the accounts people are slow in their payment? It is not us who are handling payments.. also you should note to us that it is urgent instead of just letting it idle around and when situation arise then come and fuck people..

I am enjoying my Wii at the moment.. my brother is lemming for a ps3 now.. now i just wish that i could get a permanent job instead of temporary assignment when even after you worked for 6 months and start to apply for a job, people will still not consider your temporary job as experience.. life just sucks for now..

I got my Wii at last.. $869 in total.. 2 games 2 free games (Wii Sports and Wii Play) extra nunchuck and Wii Remote and a Wiimote charger.. hmm.. nice nice.. hooked on to mario soccer charged..

back to work

holidays over and i am back to work.. very tired but then heard from my colleagues that it was very very hectic for the days i am not around.. i am lucky.. for now.

Canberra is a very small capital town of Australia.. So small that it feels like a NFSC city to me.. Very easy to drive around and you can get from one place to another within half an hour.. nice place for retirement..

aussie part 2

yeah.. tomolo im going to aussie for my graduation.. will be back at 6th oct.. working in credit suisse is great.. everyday is a hectic day.. lotsa things learnt in the company.. mainly events management for the clients and stuffs.... observe that everyone in the company seems to get paid very well because almost everyone is wearing soooo glam everyday... everyday is also a tired day for me.. almost from the 1st day of work I have been doing OT.. this is great!! haha.. good luck guys..

Credit Suisse

it has been tiring for the past 2 days.. working at credit suisse as a "officeboy" hahaa.. stuck in the store for like hours?? to pack goodie bags for their upcoming golf event in Jakarta... the stuffs inside the goodie bags are fantastic!.. Nike golf balls, tees, windbreaker.. all are customised with the company's logo.. the company is also a great place to work in.. there are TVs but only CNN channel bloomberg for them to use, fruits.. lots of fruits for employees to take.. at least 3 pantries in the department.. all stocked with tibits, soft drinks, coffee maker.. no wonder it has been voted number 2 bank that graduates would like to work in...

The view is great too.. suntec on ur left, esplanade on ur right... go to toilet and what would you see?? Singapore Flyer, Meritius Mandarin.. hahaha.. damn high class office.. But then the demoralising part is that I have to wake up early and reach home very late..

Now I am "eagerly anticipating" for my work tomorrow at Credit Suisse.. Hopefully people at the work place are friendly and nice to work with..

been playing football manager like mad these days.. watching movies.. like 3 in a row.. going to work at credit suisse as temp for one and a half month from next wed onwards.. low morale.. dunno why.. but then it is a good company.. hope it will be a good experience.. haha..

what grinds my gears...

what grinds my gears are that when i see cars on the roads some cars will have tinted headlights. why do they want to tint it and yet they wan to install HID?? isnt it stupid?? want it to look dark then when on the headlight they wan it to be bright... SOOO bright that it can blind the road from lane 1 to lane 4.. another thing that grind my gears is that.. why ppl wan to warm their engines when they are starting it up? they wan COLD AIR INTAKE yet they want hot engines.. isnt it stupid.. warming up of engine is not relevant in that case at all.. in fact it is wasting of fuel while waiting for it to "heat up" stupid.. conclusion.. it is stupid to me to tint the headlights yet install HID.. plain stupid.. and also warming of engine.. the car when it is moving it will get hot itself.. no need the warming up.... HAHA

been rotting at home these past weeks.. still finding a job... maybe will stop at september if i still cant get a job.. feeling quite useless.. got a degree yet no job interviews at all... dun understand why.. papers keep saying unemployment rate lowest, ppl get alot of job offers.. i tink its all sooo fake to me.. i tink still dun have.. im going to start to think of getting into some illegal businesses HAHA.. attending my second IPT already. good workout and sees that they are implementing some new changes like having heart rate monitor so that ppl can see if they are putting in effort in their training anot... rearranged my room abit to make some room for my laptop and monitor.. took out some stuffs from the room so as to improve my room's fengshui haha..

stock markets are not performing well recently.. hopefully they are able to bounce back soon.. if not I will not be making some money at all..
