working aunties and balancing people in MRT

Have u ever seen some working aunties in the mrt cabin vying for a seat in a fully packed train?? I find them very funny, they would do anything just to get a seat in the train.. when they see a seat miles away.. they would bang everyone down just to get to that seat.. end up! a bangala just slowly strolled to the seat.. and you can just see their face turn from astonishment to pure anger.. they would stare at the person like he/she owes her 1 billion dollars.. its like a kind of comedy that you would see everytime u take a mrt to work and home..

Today morning just saw one incident.. an auntie saw a seat at the other end of the train.. rush from one door to another door, then this guy just slowly walked and had that seat.. she bang into dunno how many ppl and just let the precious seat taken away.. then everyone was looking at her.. then she just stand in middle of the cabin waiting for a seat.. as the train stopped at one station, ppl starts to board and one guy in the CORNER SEAT (AUNTIES & EVERYONE LOVES IT MOST) stood up, she er hua bo shou, bu guan shan qi er shi yi, wanted to have that seat, then she bang into a pregnant woman.. she saw it and you can see her disappointment look and in turn the pregnant woman wanted to give up her seat to her.. but to prevent ppl from commenting her on the back, she sadly gave up the seat to the pregnant woman.. What a sad day for her~~~

I also admire people who stand in the mrt train without holding to any pole or handles.. I find them really amazing in their balancing act, some could even nap while standing freely.. clapzzz.. and now I think mrt trains have even upgraded to encourage people to hold the handles by making the handles to be on the nearer side of the seats instead in the center.. i think it is a good move as this would accomodate more people.. but still I wish someday those "balancing" people would fall down while doing their balancing act.. then it will be the highlight of the day for me..

some thoughts

I just tot of something, vegetarians said that they dun eat meats because they dun wan to support killing of animals.. But I think they are worse off than us.. They are competing for the food that the animals are eating too.. PLANTS.... this makes the animals have less food and in the end it will become a dog eat dog world...

ICT over

Went for my ICT on 10/12/07.. It was damn hectic all day all night, the moment I get to in pro, I was called up to cut my hair as they were long and untidy.. $5 gone~.. In Pro and went to my company line, check my duffel bag for contraband items and then went to draw arms.. and went for commanders training for the rest of the day. At night need to settle stores for the platoon as I was the stand in PS as Sharin the idiot is not coming for this ICT..

Tuesday, went for commanders navigation in Marsiling and then were caught in the rain when we were reaching the objective.. whole body was wet and was demoralised already as I do not like to be wet unless I am in the rain all day.. Went back and settle stores again for the platoon battle course.. Haiz.. Called sharin up and fuck him upside down.. that became the release channel for anger and fustration for me... HAHAHA.. Then the OC says that as our company has very little officers and specialists around for this ICT and we are on a high key ICT which meant that there will be a battalion exercise at the end of the ICT, it meant that we need to split one platoon to join with the other 2 platoon.. Ended up, jimmy became the PC and I became the PS for platoon 7.5. Tang became the PS for platoon 9. He cursed as he has become the PS for platoon 8 in the last ICT and now taking on the PS role again...

Wednesday, FIBUA training, the only time and last time I fired 2 shots.

Thursday, platoon battle course easy shit..

Friday, company mission exercise walked all the way to the FUP ended up, it rained damn heavily.. and the trainers says we need to go to the training shed for shelter.. WTF! everyone in the company cursed and swear.. we walked to the objective for only 2 km and to the shelter needed an extra 4 km. by the time we reached the training shed, the rain is already going to stop.. everyone was saying that, "does it meant that in war time and it rains, the war is not going to continue? Singapore Army is going to suffer if everytime rain comes when it is in war as we soldiers are already not trained to fight in the rain.." HAHAHA.. Next time, rain no need to fight war again.. SAF rocks!..

Saturday, Day off

Sunday, afternoon move off for the hasty defence.. everyone was already very tired by the time we started digging as the day was really very hot.. at night everyone just fall asleep and waited for the other reservist unit to attack us..

Monday, no one attacked us and enemy was simulated by our 84 team and it was very funny was platoon 9 PC called on the platoon to charge at the enemy and also called them to retreat so that he could give them water.. HAHAHA... then waited to clear the stores and I had to go up and down to make sure that everything was returned. Then everyone loaded the tonner and troop lift to our concentration area for our dawn attack, the moment we got there it started to rain and worse still we had to get our fresh ration and some were wondering are we going to eat rice or porridge with this kind of weather... sent some men to collect the ration and they came back telling us that other companies were in the tonners taking shelter and we were the only ones out in the rain.. everyone cursed the OC with this type of welfare and then by the time we were allowed to get into the tonner all was too late as what done has been done.. we were not going to forgive our OC with this type of treatment given to us... Night came and we started to move off from the start line...

Tuesday, the way we are walking, walking for 10m and stopping for 15 mins was very atrocious as it is just a 5km walk and we needed 6 hours to walk???? it is simply outrageous.. upon hearing that the OC had break contact with the scouts, the men were even more fustrated as this means that it will be another long wait, what the men want are that they just want to walk finished and reach near the FUP and had a longer rest for them to have a good fight.. Reached the FUP at last after much delay, H hour reached and we started attacking.. WTF!!! NO ENEMY AT OUR OBJECTIVE.. haiz.. thats the end of our BME.. stupid exercise.. no rounds expended again...

Wednesday, did survey, listened to CO TCSS.. OUT PRO.. End of ICT!

Mike Low Whisky High

Going for ICT/Reservist tomolo till next wednesday.. morale is quite low as it has been raining these few days and I really hate rainy days when I am out in the field. First, I am having foot rot, with these rainy days ahead, my foot will get worse.. 2nd abrasion easily I will get when it is damp and i am not dry.. damn sad..

Hopefully meeting up with all the friends again will cheer me up as the last time we met was like in july when I just came back from aussie and after that everyone is busy till this ICT.. Will be away these few days, hopefully the stocks i bought will keep on rising and I will have nothing to worry about... byebye

Logistics, courier, mailroom.. anything but marketing...

Yesterday and today have been very tiring, settling issues with the calendars and cards and also delivering the cards and calendars to the various departments. Some things that I learnt in my uni days started to come back... satisfying internal customers have been hard... But I had learnt it the hard way with some colleagues reflecting on the distribution for the calendars and cards that I am in charge of... Which is a good lesson for me...

I could really say that I am the internal mailroom for my department officially.. Yesterday, mailroom called one of my colleague who is situated at 2nd floor to get some stuffs, instead of getting the other temp girl who is nearer to him, he told the mailroom to call me instead.. HAHA in the end it was just a filmsy paper which anyone can handle..

I can also say that I am doing logistic in the department also as I am now currently consolidating, organising of 3 orders for our branch... There is also one pending project for me but I still need to wait for instructions before I send out instructions to the various departments...

I am happy working at my level but is quite demoralised with the fact that I could not get a permanent job at all.. Looking forward to this weekend as I am going to paint my room and giving it a overall makeover..

yet another week...

Story that I wrote to my colleague:

HAHA long story...

The calendars order, 1000 (500 bilingual, 500 normal) of them are for charity. Then I send them an email (9.11.2007) that time to update the order as starting it was 1000 with normal logo. Then the printer din notice about the update and print 1000 normal logo and then somemore they based the printing not from the email but from the distribution list (16.11.2007) which I gave them, so they printed it wrongly as my list did not state the quantity for the different logos under the charity column then they tell me that they did the printing wrongly. To cover up for my mistakes and her mistakes, I email HK side to ask them whether they can take in the normal ones so that they don't have to reprint. Lucky they accept it, so end up we cover our backsides.. Phew~

Friday...

Calendars orders are here.. a whole lorry of calendars and it is 6.00pm everyone is going home.. The deliverymen and I were doing the delivering to the various departments, lucky some of them are still in the office, lucky that I knew where some of them sits which makes the handing over easier and therefore we are able to get the things done within 2 hours with like ??700?? over boxes placed in where they should be.. worse thing is that, I dunno why my mailroom knows that they should call me when the orders came, I think I have become the next mailroom to their mailroom when they need to handle big bulk of stuffs... I am.. the marketing internal mailroom cum logistic cum courier.. My job is no more just an admin staff.. HAHA is that good or bad for a marketing graduate? I wonder why some get to have good job and good pay when they come out yet I got only a temp position in a company... Am I that inferior to them?? Is that really meritocracy all about? study hard hard get good job, study not good you get cert also no one wants you.. WTF~.. That might be what luck, fate, destiny are all about?? it really sucks to the core...

Singapore economy is bluffing us all along... I have not get a permanent job yet and the papers are still reporting that fresh graduates are not meeting the demand.. _|_ sg papers..

Internal mail man..

I dunno about other departments but I think mine is a pai kia department.. Yesterday we were supposed to be in a fire drill yet everyone in our department were like in holiday mood as we are going to celebrate one of our colleague's birthday.. We went to a jap restaurant in suntec.. Shin (dunno what) and then waited for her just before the fire drill.. (and thus escaped the "fire") then my other colleague dragged her and she was stunned when she sees everyone of us waiting for her.... HAHA.. over with that.... Now my job in the department becomes the internal marketing courier guy.. always making delivery between the 2nd and 5th floor... then I am also the logistic guy in the department and worse yet I have become the APAC logistic guy as I have been helping the APAC department to deliver stuffs and making sure that the deliveries came in and arrange for DHL and making sure that everything were in place.. HAHAHA got to go... sending candy to our friend's place.. she is having her wedding today.. good luck guys and girls.

Weekend again!!!

Weekend is here again.. sooo fast.. hectic week for me, we were having an event overseas and yet we had only 2 persons coordinating the event over there.. our dept therefore had to assist them here in any ways we could... sometimes i wonder why some vendors or supplier are so reluctant to see us, we wanted to give them $$ yet they keep pushing us away.. -.-" Singapore sees the lowest unemployment rate ever.. yar yar yar.. lotsa jobs no ppl to fill up... why I still cannot find a permanent job yet? unemployment rate is low but what I think is that unhappiness in the job rate is damn high among lotsa employees.

contradicting notice

Today, I just saw a notice in my pantry that says "Protect the earth, use less paper cup" then to my surprise, we do not have paper cups. We have styrofoam cups... Erm... Is the styrofoam cups more hurting to the earth or the paper cups? To what I know styrofoam cups are non biodegradable but paper cup could be biodegradable.. Perhaps the company thinks that paper cups are hurting the earth so they use styrofoam cups that "would not" hurt the earth?? Hmm.. who knows..

Chair

Hello, I just bought 2 office chairs for my brother and I.. treated it as a birthday present for him.. hahaha.. actually wanted to get a ps3, but then no $$.. fixed the chairs and now I am happily sitting on it with confidence.. HA HA HA $128x2 for ikea chair.. Yesterday went to buy a printer for one of our company event, we were at South Asia computers in Funan (the one you can go into on the outside via the escalator straight) we almost bought one printer from them but when we saw a smaller one we asked them to let us see the other printer (the colleagues going over there wanted a portable one). Attitude of the staff.. -100 seems practically dun bother to sell their products and then ask their staff there they just point you to the direction and then they also dunno the products they are selling (product knowledge - NIL). simply walked out and went to the shop next door to buy from them.. They were professional and recommend several products for you to choose and tells you how to use them, etc..

Moral of the story, when you want to sell things.. KNOW your stuff.
